Sharon Yvonne Stone was born on the 10th of March, 1958, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to accountant Dorothy Lawson and tool and die manufacturer and former factory worker Joseph William Stone II. Michael, Kelly, Patrick. She was one of three sisters. Stone was considered academically gifted in her early years and entered in second grade at the age of five. Stone graduated from Saegertown High School in Saegertown, Pennsylvania, in 1975. In addition, she competed at the Miss Pennsylvania pageant and won Miss Crawford County. Stone and her aunt in 1977, made the move in New Jersey for a modeling job. She signed with Ford Modeling Agency a week further. Her next move was to Europe in the course of a year in Milan, Paris and other cities. Stone however became disillusioned in Europe with the modelling industry and opted to go into acting. Stone appeared in Woody Allen's film "Stardust Memories" when he was twenty. The film was met with mixed reviews.
