Alisyn Camerota

Alisyn Camerota, journalist, writer, anchor for CNN's morning show "New Day," and Westport, CT resident, is elected to the board of trustees for Westport Country Playhouse. Through her decades of reporting, Camerota has covered stories both nationally and internationally. She was awarded one Emmy Award for her breaking news coverage on the arrest Roger Stone. Roger Stone, and the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award for her news breaking coverage of Hurricane Maria's impact to Puerto Rico. Johnna G. Torsone, of Stamford was made the honorary trustee after her tenure on the Board of Trustees since 2007. Anna Czekaj Farber of Westport became board chair following an appointment on the Board since 2013. Czekaj-Farber succeeds Barbara Streicker of Westport, who was chairperson since October of 2015 and has continued to be a member of the board since.
