Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette (January 31, 1937 - - January 19th 2008) was an American theatre, film TV, and voice actress. 1 Pleshette began her professional career in the theater and then began to appear in films in the late 1950s. She then appeared in films with a prominent name such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), and Spirited Away (2001). Later, she appeared in a variety of TV productions, mostly in guest roles, and played Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 until 1978, receiving several Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City on the 31st of January in 1937. The parents of the couple were Jewish parents of immigrants from Russia or Austria-Hungary. She was the daughter of Geraldine Rivers, a performer and dancer. Her father was the stage manager at the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, and the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
