JacquelineJacqueline Fernandez (born 11 August 1985) is an Sri Lankan actress and model. Her roles include Hindi movies and reality television shows. Since her 2009 debut with Aladin She has been an actress of distinction in Hindi cinema. Fernandez was born in Bahrain to an ethnically diverse Eurasian couple that is of Sri Lankan, Canadian and Malaysian descent. After graduating with a degree in mass communication at the University of Sydney and working as a reporter for a TV station in Sri Lanka, she joined the modeling business. She was Miss Universe Sri Lanka 2006 and was a representative of Sri Lanka in Miss Universe 2006. Fernandez was the subject of an investigation in relation to the money laundering matter which involved Rs200 million as of December 2021. The investigation is carried out by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) who questioned Fernandez for 10 hours over the investigation on the 9th of December 2021. On 22 December, ED denied Fernandez's request to reduce the Lookout Circular (LOC) which was issued to her in the case that restricts her travel to outside India
